First-hand context, handled with care.
What a review on ApplySafer may and may not contain, and how first-hand workplace context is handled.
Last updated 4 October 2026
A review describes your own experience of working for, or applying to, an employer. Express opinions as opinions, state as fact only what you believe to be true, and do not name or identify individuals, include anyone's contact details or sensitive personal information (health, ethnicity, religion, sexuality and the like), disclose confidential information, or write anything abusive or threatening. Reviews must be genuine: not paid for, not rewarded, and not written by anyone acting for the employer or a competitor. A person reads every review before it is published. We may ask for more information, refuse, hide or remove a review, but we do not edit your words.
A focused conversation
Reply limits and challenges
A review and its replies run to four posts in total — the reviewer, the company, the reviewer once more and the company once more — and the backend refuses any post beyond that.
To challenge a decision about a review — yours refused, or someone else's published — email safety@applysafer.com; we acknowledge within two business days and decide within ten. If a review is defamatory of you, use the complaint link under it. Employers cannot pay to have reviews removed, hidden or reordered. Private moderation notes are not public.
Separate official material
Official material — such as the count of published employment tribunal decisions naming a company, and official disclosures — is kept separate from reviews. It does not alter a review rating or create a company trust score.
