Nothing on this page takes away or reduces your legal rights. If anything here conflicts with your legal rights, your legal rights win.
Who you are dealing with
Nikah AI Ltd trading as ApplySafer is the seller and takes the payment itself. We are a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17199968, registered office Office 1216, 60 Tottenham Court Road, Fitzrovia, London W1T 2EW. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office, registration number ZC176381.
Payment is processed by Stripe on its hosted checkout page, but we are the merchant of record - our name is on your statement, the money comes to us, and we are who you ask for a refund. There is no third-party payment service you can go to instead of us, and no 60-day window with anybody else, so our own response times below are the only route. We treat refund requests as priority for that reason.
No VAT is added. We are not registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged on anything you buy from ApplySafer. The price you see is the total you pay.
ApplySafer is free for candidates and always will be. We never charge a work-seeker anything, at any stage - not for applying, not for being seen, not for anything. There is no charge path for a candidate anywhere in the product.
The 14-day right to change your mind
If you are buying as a consumer - as an individual, mainly for reasons outside any business you run - you normally have 14 days from the day you buy to change your mind and get a full refund, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. The 14 days run from the day you place the order, not from the day you first use the product.
If you are buying for your business - including as a sole trader buying a tool for your trade - that statutory 14-day right does not apply to you. Your contract rights and the rest of this policy still do, and so does our own 14-day promise below.
Asking us to start straight away does NOT take the right away - for a monthly plan. A plan runs month after month, so it is never finished inside 14 days, and the law only ends the right once a service has been completely delivered. So you keep the whole 14 days. If you cancel inside them we refund you, less a proportionate amount for the days you actually had access - and nothing else is deducted.
The one thing on ApplySafer where the right genuinely does run out is a promotion week. A promotion is finished on day 7, which is inside the 14 days - so once it has run for the whole period you paid for, there is nothing left to cancel and the right is used up. Two things have to have happened first: you asked us to start it straight away, and you confirmed you understood the right ends once the promotion has run its full period. If you cancel part-way through, you pay only for the days already run and we refund the rest.
That is why there is a box to tick next to the pay button, with the exact wording on the screen rather than in a document somewhere - and why the wording is different for a plan and for a promotion. We keep a copy of the exact words you agreed to, their version and the date. If we failed to tell you about your cancellation right before you bought, you keep it and you pay nothing at all for what you used in the meantime.
And our own promise, which is simpler. If you have had the product for 14 days or less and you are not happy with it, tell us and we will refund you in full - no questions, no form, no reason needed. That applies whether or not you ticked the box, whether or not you are a business, and whether or not you have used it.
Monthly plans
Tier 1 is £200 a month and Tier 2 is £300 a month. Both are billed monthly in advance and renew automatically until you cancel.
- Cancel at any time from Plan & billing in your account. Your plan runs to the end of the month you have paid for and then stops - you keep everything you paid for until then.
- What happens when it stops. Your company goes back to the free allowance, which is one live job. We keep one of your live listings and close the rest; if one of them has promotion time left, that is the one we keep. We are telling you this here because it is the consequence of cancelling and you are entitled to know it before you cancel, not after.
- First 14 days: a full refund, no questions, even if you have posted jobs. The law would let us keep a proportionate amount for the days you had access; we do not, for a first payment.
- After 14 days we do not refund the remainder of a month you have already started. You keep the plan to the end of it.
- A renewal you did not want: tell us within 14 days of the charge and we refund it in full, so long as you have not posted or promoted anything in the new month.
- We always refund a double charge, a charge after you cancelled, or a charge at the wrong amount. You do not have to argue about those.
You can also cancel by writing to us at support@applysafer.com. You do not have to use our words or our form - any clear statement that you want to cancel counts, by any method, including a reply to your receipt.
Job promotion
Promotion is £30 for 7 days, bought once rather than by subscription.
- Before it starts: cancel for a full refund, for any reason.
- Part-way through: we refund the whole days that have not run, and you pay for the days that have. If it did not run at all because something went wrong on our side, you get the whole £30 back.
- Once the whole 7 days have run: the promotion is finished, so there is nothing left to cancel and nothing to refund. That is the one place on ApplySafer where the 14-day right runs out before the 14 days do, and the box you tick before paying says so in those words.
- We do not refund because a promoted job attracted fewer applications than you hoped. We sell placement, not outcomes, and we never promise a number of applicants.
- Paid placement is always labelled as paid. If you find a promoted listing anywhere on ApplySafer that is not labelled, tell us and we will refund that promotion in full.
- If you delete a job, the remaining promoted days are lost. We tell you that on the screen before you delete it. Closing a job is different: if you republish it before the paid time runs out, the remaining time resumes.
If it is faulty, or not what we described
We must supply something of satisfactory quality, fit for its purpose, and matching how we described it. If we do not, you can ask us to fix or replace it, free and within a reasonable time. If we cannot, or do not do so within a reasonable time or without significant inconvenience to you, you can ask for a price reduction - which can be a full refund if what you bought was unusable.
For the first six months after you buy, if it does not work properly it is our job to prove it was fine when we supplied it, not yours to prove it was faulty.
If our software damages your device or your other files, and that would not have happened if we had taken reasonable care, we will either put the damage right or pay you appropriate compensation. We cannot and do not exclude this.
Reviews
Reviews on ApplySafer are written by people about employers, free of charge. There is nothing to refund, and we do not remove a review because an employer asks us to, or offers to pay. If you believe a review is unlawful there is a separate statutory process with its own legal time limits - see how we handle complaints about reviews - and we tell you what we decide and why.
How to ask, and how long we take
Email support@applysafer.com. Put your receipt number in the subject if you have it; the email address you bought with is enough if you do not. Or cancel yourself from Plan & billing in your account.
| We acknowledge your request | within 1 working day |
|---|---|
| We decide and tell you the outcome | within 5 working days |
| If we agree, we send the money back | within 14 days of you telling us |
| It appears in your account | usually 5-10 working days after we send it, depending on your bank |
A refund goes back to the card or payment method you used. We never deduct an administration, processing or restocking fee, and we never give credit instead of money unless you ask us to. If we need more information we will say exactly what, once.
If you are not happy with our answer
Use our complaints procedure. It sets out what we do, how long we take, and what you can do if you still disagree.
Changes to this policy
We may change this policy. The version that applies to your purchase is the one published when you bought. If we change a plan price or a limit we give you at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal, both in your account and by email, and you can cancel before the change takes effect.
