Cookies and browser storage
Every cookie and item of browser storage ApplySafer uses, why, and how to control analytics.

ApplySafer uses only the cookies and browser storage it needs to work. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels, and no third party sets cookies through our site. The law allows strictly necessary storage without consent; anything else needs your agreement first.

Analytics — only with your consent
We may switch on product analytics (PostHog, hosted in the EU) to understand which pages are used and where people get stuck. When it is switched on, nothing is collected and no analytics cookie or storage is set until you choose “Accept analytics” in the banner. If you accept, PostHog sets cookies and local storage whose names begin ph_ to recognise your browser between page views; we also remember any campaign tag in the link you arrived by, in session storage (names beginning mt_utm_), for that visit. Session recording is switched off. We remove the IP address from the events we send, and we will turn on PostHog's setting to discard IP addresses before analytics is switched on. You can change your mind at any time using Cookie settings in the footer; refusing or withdrawing makes no difference to what you can do on ApplySafer.
Analytics are not switched on for ApplySafer at the moment, so there is nothing to accept or reject.
Other sites
Paying for an employer plan takes you to Stripe's checkout, and some jobs send you to an employer's own website. Those sites set their own cookies under their own notices.
